Hope to see you soon again. For now I’ll likely hideout in the norwegian mountains over christmas, expect silence here for a week or so.

My plane takes of tomorrow evening. What a sad sad fact. I’ll miss so much from here, most of all I’ll miss my girlfriend Lalai.
On the note of stuff happening in the agency, we presented to the client the project I’ve been working on lately. Success. They loved it. That felt good.

If you’re in São Paulo you should be there. (Click the flyer to see it in full size) (And if you didn’t receive this one by email, you can use the RSVP email in this one)
The illustration of me and Lalai was made by Gui Jotape.

Got invited to a blogger event held by Samsung, essentially we got some free drinks and hung out at an icebar. Not bad at all. They’ve decided to put a bunch of their products in a 4*4 meter chunk of ice. Put it in the shopping centre nearby and holding a competition we’re you win the products inside if you manage to guess when the ice has melted.

We spent the sunday sightseeing a little bit, namely the view from Pão de Açúcar. Since it was a bit clouded we went there instead of the christ.
The bus from Ipadema to Pão de Açúcar

This is how happy you get when you’re about to go for a ride in the cable car

The cable car station looks almost surreal in the epic scenery. Could’ve been taken straight out of Riven.

Once on the top of Pão de Açúcar, the view is simply breathtaking. In all directions.

In the afternoon, after a really nice lunch close to Lagoa…

…we hung out on the beach for a while.

…and a few kids that got caught in the rip and were rescued by the lifeguards. This is the end of the Drama.

We stayed in an apartment in the Ipanema neighbourhood (the most gay part of Rio in case you’re wondering) which is right next to Copacabana. Saturday was mostly spent walking around, and watching the surfers. The surf was fairly decently sized so it was quite entertaining. The good surfers took of right outside the rock and then passed really close. Ballsy.

The scenery of Rio is absolutely stunning, pictures can’t come close to making it justice. They also have draft beer in small carriages along the beach. Not bad.
