Shoreditch House

Patrik Öster, 27 Nov 2008 (09:01)

This weekend I will be at the rooftop of Glue. It is actually a members club called Shoreditch House at the top of the (Tea) building. It is a lot of people within the business who goes here for drinks, food and to have aswim in the pool.

It’s just a very cool place here in London, and If you have a chance you just have to pay a visit to this place. It’s full for Founder members; but with committee meetings every few months, you could be enjoying  the heated pool come winter. I tried to upload a picture but no luck as usually.

Forecasts

Patrik Öster, 25 Nov 2008 (05:04)

It is getting colder here in London and just like Eskil wrote it is likely to be much colder from now and on. The Christmas time is knocking on the door and so is the future.

We are all awere of whats going on in the global economy and
Unfortunately its not just the weather forecast that looks much colder and bitter right now.

Yesterday The Economist and Yahoo/EIAA came by to vistit Parker Tower, Presenting their forecasts fore the next few months/years.

The Economist gave us the full picture of what happend so far and what the effect of the Global crises will do to the world during the next few years. It doesent look to good, but not to bad either! Intrenet penetration is still increasing in the world and the emerging markets is still to be explored, not at least the World Cup 2010 host of South Africa. Even though we are going to see less money to be spend and that is going to effect us all.

Just as the Economist presentation stats started to get really nasty I decided to head down to the Isobar floor to get the good news.

And just as I predicted!

And this is why I just love to be a part of this market. The growth potential is huge. We just keep on going!!! It is predicted to be another year of an upgoing trend for online advertaising and we still have so many different markets, companys and business models to conquer and innovate.

Yahoo a member of EIAA came to present the final report of 2008/09. For thoose of you who dont know about The European Interactive Advertising Association (EIAA) it was formed in 2001 to act as a common, pan-European voice for the interactive advertising industry,
And we are digesting different surveys like the EIAA everyday to understand the online activity around the world.

One more thing, watch out for pricey Christmas trees. It is predicted to be very expensive to buy a christmas tree this year due to the lack of christmas trees in Denmark and Sweden.

Experience

Patrik Öster, 21 Nov 2008 (03:32)

I totally agree with Linda Alexanderson in what she said in her latest blog post, the time is not enough and there is so much more you want to do before its time to go back to Stockholm again.

During a long time now I have created a huge interest of the magical world of eCRM. This is for sure somthing I am going to keep on doing. And That is also a reason why I dont want to leave Isobar yet.

Now, almost the entire first period of Farfar Academy is gone and you can really feel that you have got alot of experience out of it. During my stay I have had the chance to see alot of things that might take a while and alot of work experience to even get close to. And if you get the chance to be at Parker Tower you also get the chance to meet and work together with alot of tallented people.

And it is for sure the people you meet and the contacts you get thats going make the difference in the end.

Ok roomie I am going to follow you on this one!

We have seen a lot of really funny and good virals during the last couple of months. The latest ones you get is usually the ones you find the most cool. But I have choosen to give the first place to one of the latest virals. The Wario Land might be one of the most innovative virals we have seen in a while.

These are my top 3 of viral movies

Wario Land: Shake It – Amazing footage!

FIFA STREET 3

Quicksilver dynamite surfing viral

I just have to agree that the Quicksilver viral is really good!

Cheers

Last week I attended to a few diffrent presentations and shows. One of the most interesting was the Symbian smartphone show. Even though it was a little bit to techie for me and my colleague I found it really cool to see all the new things in mobile coming soon.

Even Jean-Luc Picard was there so I guess Symbian did their home work after all. If you know what I meen.

Iso bar

Patrik Öster, 22 Oct 2008 (01:22)

The Octoberfest became a success thanks to Samuel one of the strategists. It really felt like you went to Austria for a moment. I used to work as a ski guide in Bad Gastein, So I have a pretty good feeling of what to expect. And I have to give him some credit for his Austrian national dress he ran away and rented for this special occation.

After a coupple of beers at Isobar we ran down to The Crown a pub nearby Tottenham Court Road and continued the fest. After a while a few friends of mine came bye to join us.

Im really sorry to say but there is No hot Gossip to tell. I guess we who work at Isobar is extremely well-behaving people…
