Interesting how my placement turned out to be exactly as any job I had. The weeks before Christmas is always the busiest during the year. And for some reason I have more to do now than I had over the past 3,5 months all together. Hmm… Well no question about it I will definitely be busy at De-Con Amsterdam next year. I like it already. I realised I’ve spent 20 days of my 113 days of the first placment here in Amsterdam.
But it’s so cold here. I miss the hot thermalbaths in Budapest. Lucky me I’m going back this Thursday to finish things off, join Kirowskis x-mas party, clean out the flat, buy a suitcase full of sausages, take a last hot bath, eat a big plate of Borjúpapikasz and then fly off in Sunday afternoon to Gothenburg.

I started to think of what I will miss not living in Budapest after the 22nd December. The things I will miss the most with Budapest are these:
1. The hot outdoor thermal baths, the best way to use a lazy Sunday.
2. Borjúparikasz (fantastic Hungarian veal stew in paprika sauce with home made gnocchi)
3. The Market. Love to hang there and buy sausages at Saturdays.

This Friday I went with Laci from work and Dora his girlfriend to a party. A friend of theirs held a birthday party in his supernice topfloor 3 room flat in Buda. In the livingroom the front wall was mainly one big window from one side to the other which allowed to shoot cool visuals (and playing some Mortal Kombat crazy big:) on the facade of the neighboors house. It was a really good party, meeting lots of fun people (some of the girls from Kiro also turned up) and dancing to great tunes from DJ Yeast.
Note to myself: next time eat a proper meal before partying, one could think I should know better by the age of 31. ;)

The last 10 days been like a never ending rush hour for me. First of all I had friends here visiting, giving them the grand tour of Budapest, unfortunately I had to leave them half way through and head to Amsterdam.
I met up with the De-Construct team in Amsterdam to kick off some projects that I will be distance working with from Budapest. After 3 days in A’dam I jumped on a flight to Gothenburg, Sweden where my prescence was needed. I speed dated friends and after two days I went back to Budapest with new visitors in the baggage.
So there I was again, doing the grand tour and trying to be the perfect hostess when I most of all just wanted to sleep. The last week has been crazy. But fun. More fun than crazy I would say. Lots of work, late night with nice dinners and early mornings trying to catch flights or just getting up to be all sparkling and fantastic at work :)
Thanks Olivia+Johannes and Lotta+Katja for coming here.

Every morning I walk past a small art gallery. I never give it much attention..but this morning something caught my eye. In the window there was a black cat. Sitting all calm, watching the people rushing by on the outside. I dont know if the the owner of the gallery lives there as well, but one could think so.
