Text as it should be

Eskil Busck Andersen, 26 Sep 2008 (10:33)

I hate reading long texts full of useless details. Most books I read could be cut down to a 20 pages summary and still prove all the points. I feel the same way about movies by the way - Lord of the Rings, not really my thing. I guess that some of you feel the same way, whilst others really like the never ending story full of metaphors and fluff. (I’ll never become a great artist).

Here’s the solution that should work for both parts.

BTW: Everything is fine at Glue. I’ll take some pictures of the office someday soon. And maybe even post my presentation of Farfar and the academy. I just have to get Farfar’s permission. I’ll be back.

Beers for lunch

Eskil Busck Andersen, 12 Sep 2008 (07:09)

Hi everybody,

A little update from Glue. My 10th day at Glue is now almost over and so far it seems like it’s a nice place to work. Today we went out for lunch. 2 of the account managers had some birthday-excuse and invited a whole bunch of us to join them. It turned out to be the best lunch so far; we started out ordering beers and wine - a tradition in England I’ve heard, and then the food; burgers and chips. A perfect lunch.

Back at the office - 2 hours and some pints later - I realized that it’s not that easy to be productive, when you’re thinking about where the nearest pub might be. (Find it at www.fancyapint.co.uk). It took several cups of coffee to forget about the pub and think about something more relevant.

At the moment I’m doing research for Martin (one of the planners) and Dom (the head of emerging technology… cool job description by the way). It’s not easy to dig stuff out of the Internet, that these guys haven’t seen before, so it’s taking me some time. My research skills are probably not the best either, but my pool of bookmarks are growing extremely fast at the moment and before I leave Glue I will probably know about most of the valuable corners of the Internet.

Beside from my researching, I’m suppose to shadow each of the planners on some of their accounts, but at the moment everybody seems really busy and meetings get postponed all the time, so the shadow is a bit short. It will be better next week, I’m sure. We got some interesting clients, but I’m probably not allowed to write anything about them.

Well, that’s it for now. I will crawl my way home, dropping by all the pubs from the website mention earlier. Sightseeing is important when you’re in a new neighborhood.

Cheers,
Eskil aka. Xkill (My Jack The Ripper-ish nick)

Getting a bit sea sick?

Eskil Busck Andersen, 10 Sep 2008 (05:16)

If all this horizontal scrolling is making you sea sick, check this page.

And by the way, we just got a devastating message - we’re not getting Internet in the flat. I don’t know how to survive, but I will probably just sleep at Glue from now on.

I’m the exact opposite to a tamagotchi… a human pet depending on digital solicitude.

Back to work… they’re whipping me.

Skål,
Eskil

Going to London

Eskil Busck Andersen, 29 Aug 2008 (11:56)

Well… I guess it’s time to start the writing. I still don’t know what part of my time at the academy I’m gonna focus on in the posts to come…  I will try to make it interesting - even if you don’t know me and don’t care about where I live or what I eat. (Kensington something and a burger, please).

I’m probably gonna focus on my time at Glue, but I don’t know how much I’m allowed to share with the world. Until my first real post, check out www.gluelondon.com.

Cheers,
Eskil
