This weekend Netthink is arranging a yearly get-together for all the employees. We all go to some place outside Madrid, have some dinner and drinks and come back the next day. As tradition the new employees, eg. the people who were employed at Netthink after last years get-together, have to do a lot of silly things before and during the weekend. As I am one of the rookies I have to wear this all week.

About a week ago I noticed that the wall under the air conditioner in my apartment was changing color. Fading into a yellowy tone. I remembered that the week before there had been a heavy rain storm and the pipe to the AC must have burst. I called the landlord and the next day he checked it out and told me I had to move. So I did, right next door. And I’m very happy, because the place is bigger and it has a view. I don’t know if you remember but where I lived before my window faced a wall.

I went to Buenos Aires to attend El Ojo the advertising award show for the latin countries.

After one of my bumpier plane trips ever, I got some sleep at my hostel and then met up with Ricardo (from Agência Click/Isobar) and Jesus (from Netthink in Madrid, so he’s a friend of Björn) and had one of the best steaks I’ve ever had for lunch. A must if you’re in Argentina.

During the last month I have been involved in an Adidas banner campaign. My part was mostly post production and compositing in After Effects which I really enjoyed. Last week it was live on marca.com, the largest sports news provider in Spain. Today they even wrote about the campaign in their printed version of the paper!

The headline reads: “Sport stars invade MARCA.com”"

Last weekend my girlfriend was here in Madrid. On our quest to discover the city we found a pretty cool club on the roof of a hotel which has a beautiful view over downtown Madrid.

Netthink has a place on the interweb where they write about stuff they want others to know about. Basically a blog! Apparently they want others to know about me.

During the past few weeks I’ve been working on a case for MINI in Spain. The brief was to promote the opportunity to come and test drive the new MINI Clubman in selected cities throughout Spain. After some thinking and a few meetings we thought we had a few good ideas, but due to some “complications” we weren’t able to realise any of them. So last Wednesday I was asked if I could come up with something that could be up and running within the next few days. So I made this: Try Me

Yesterday was Monday, which in Spanish is Lunes. And like everywhere in the world (I think) Monday is a day that you´d rather skip. I´m lucky being able to disagree. Madrid is still a very new place for me. I don’t speak the language, on weekends I normally hang out with me, myself and I and finding good lunch places is still an adventure. So if somebody asks me “¿De Lunes?”, I answer “¡De Lunes!” and I put on my sombrero and my poncho and I jump onto my horse and I ride into the sunset!
