In Madrid there are a lot of people doing weird stuff in the street for money… Like standing completely still for a long time or dressing up like a brazilian dancer and dancing, without music (this was a guy). But this was something else. I had to record it and show you guys.

Today was laundry day for me, and since I don’t have a washing machine in my building I had to go to one of those Laundry-o-mats, which reminds me of this:

This weekend I was at the design event MadinSpain’08 in Madrid. Matias from Farfar was there so I took a seat in the front row. Joshua Davis was one of the other speakers. Amazing guy on stage. Check out photos from the event here.

I had lunch at McDonalds with some people from work the other day and they asked me if I preferred McDonalds or Burger King. I said that it depends. Sometimes you feel like a BK burger and sometimes you feel like McD. They were chocked, “No way! You can’t like both!!”. So I’m asking, is it OK to like both BK & McD or are the guys in Spain right, do I have to pick one?!

Last night I went to a concert with a Swedish band from Gothenburg called Sambassadeur at a music club here in Madrid. I went with a girl from work who is a big fan of Swedish indie bands. She remembers my name because of the band Peter Bjorn and John. My name is by the way not easy to say for a Madridian. Some people at work call me Bjork. Not what I had wished for as a nickname. I would have wanted something cool, like Bosco (A-Team BA Baracus first name).

Today is a bank holiday here in Madrid so I took the chance and tried out my Nike+ gear in Parque del Retiro…

Right next door from the agency there is a pub were people at work spend most of their Friday afternoons. This Friday was no exception.

Just arrived to Madrid and the apartment where I am going to be staying for the next 4 months. The trip went perfect up until I was the only person left standing in front of the baggage belt at Baraja Airport in Madrid. The arrival hall emptied slowly until I was the only one left. Then the baggage belt stopped. I have never witnessed that kind of silence at an airport before. There I was, with my guitar, my Mac and my camera and no clothes, except for the ones I wore. I waited for the panic to strike, but it never came. Instead a smile grew on my face and I thought: Yep, this is it, the thing that is supposed to go wrong.
