Rio Part 3

Ola Persson, 12 Dec 2008 (03:13)

We spent the sunday sightseeing a little bit, namely the view from Pão de Açúcar. Since it was a bit clouded we went there instead of the christ.

This is how happy you get when you’re about to go for a ride in the cable car

The cable car looks like this

The cable car station looks almost surreal in the epic scenery. Could’ve been taken straight out of Riven.

Once on the top of Pão de Açúcar, the view is simply breathtaking. In all directions.

In the afternoon, after a really nice lunch close to Lagoa…

…we hung out on the beach for a while.

…and a few kids that got caught in the rip and were rescued by the lifeguards. This is the end of the Drama.

Rio pt 2

Ola Persson, 10 Dec 2008 (02:13)

We stayed in an apartment in the Ipanema neighbourhood (the most gay part of Rio in case you’re wondering) which is right next to Copacabana. Saturday was mostly spent walking around, and watching the surfers. The surf was fairly decently sized so it was quite entertaining. The good surfers took of right outside the rock and then passed really close. Ballsy.

The scenery of Rio is absolutely stunning, pictures can’t come close to making it justice. They also have draft beer in small carriages along the beach. Not bad.

Rio part 1

Ola Persson, 09 Dec 2008 (02:17)

We left from São Paulo in the evening on friday, for a bus trip slightly over 5 hours. Once in Rio we took a cab to the apartment we rented for the weekend. Since we arrived late there we didn’t do much more than head straight for bed.

What life outside Click is like

Ola Persson, 19 Oct 2008 (09:47)

Work hard, party hard. That pretty much sums up São Paulo for me.

I can’t really give away too much on the work part yet, some of the stuff I’ve made will be online fairly soon and I’ll post about it then. Three persons in from design has quit since I got here, so we really do have a lot of work. Has both upsides and downsides.

After having had a bit of a cold (had to stay at home one day to rest) this week. It felt well deserved to enjoy the weekend.. And a bit of a lazy one for once. Friday was spent eating and having a few beers close to Av. Paulista. On saturday I went to have lunch with friends, we continued to Expo Sticker 2008, a sticker art exhibition. After that we had a few beers before we ventured to Mercado Mundo Mix. The day was finished with a fashion photographers birthday party.

I brought my camera along, so here’s some pictures from the Sticker Exhibition.

The weekend in retrospective…

Linda Lindstedt, 22 Sep 2008 (11:26)

I had great plans for my Saturday, dropping by the market, do some shopping, eat lunch there. Stop by my new favourite sneaker store White Label and so on…I did nothing of that. I had breakfast and after that I went back to bed and slept the whole day. So when the evening came I was restless as h*ll and went out to Szimpla for a beer. Sat down by myself in the bar and did some major people watching. Met a guy that I start talking to. After a few hours I went on to a place called Merlin. Great place, nice music and the beer was cold. I’m a simple girl :) Best of all Szimpla, Merlin and my flat is in the area of 5 minutes walking. Sweet! // More weekend after the jump >
